Check your favor

I am a regular customer of the Checkers Blue Bird in Melrose.I have never been made to feel so insignificant like I was this afternoon. I went past the store as I usually do to pick up a few items that I may need on a daily. I regularly buy their Baldak noodles as they are a favorite of mine. I happened to see that they had a special on their Maggie 2 minute noodles @R29 for a 5 pack when buying with the extra savings card. On the shelve they only had 2 flavors packed (Beef & Chicken). I was standing next to a sixty-60 lady who had a scanner busy loading her trolley for orders. She was also looking for a the same item (Durban curry flavor). After asking jokingly if they don't have any in stock advised specifically advised that there were about 22 units in stock. I then approached the manager on duty and asked if there is a chance that they see if we can get the said requested items. The manager came and saw what were the only packed flavors and claimed that she'd have someone check the stock room. I waited for sometime and when she came back all she could say nonchalantly was sorry we don't have stock and just walked away. It really makes me wonder; is it because it my kind that was asking, is it because checkers is trying to get rid of those very units that they cannot offload under normal circumstances and forcing us to buy what they feel like because it honestly did not look like they had ever packed them throughout the day. I don't want any favors but just stating my mere disgust in the managers demeanor when addressing us.
