Cards not acceptable when buying electricity at Checkers Raslouw

Visited Checkers Raslouw @ Centurion and i wanted to buy electricity and I was assisted by Mxolisi at the Money Market till, who told me that he can only take cash if I want to buy electricity not my card, when I asked what is the reason for that he told me he was informed by his managers to do so. Why is my card good enough to buy groceries but not electricity, this is so inconsiderate of management to just decide that, without even considering the time customers will be wasting to go there only to be told they cannot accept cards and that not all banks have ATMs at Rouslouw I had to walk to Reds mall just to get cash so that I can pay for the electricity. And did they even consider that it is not safe for customers to be carrying cash around.
