Camping Gaz Lantern,replacement glass

Checkers sells Camping Gaz cannisters and lantern heads,for which no glass replacements are available,anywhere,now one sits with a piece of equipment which costs in excess of R300,and cant be used,Lanterns are available to this day,so if the glass gets damaged one has to replace the whole unit,what nonsense.
