Burnt by a hot water bottle

This is to Checkers mica mall in Ladysmith.I really have never had anything negative to say about this store before,I'm always happy about the service,the cleanliness and everything else. It was 2020 beginning of winter when I bought myself a hot water bottle to keep myself warm during the season. After using the bottle 2 or 3 times the seam underneath opened and the hot water burnt me on my right thigh (excruciating).The next day I took it back to the store and was helped by Kenny one of the managers,he gave me a new one without a receipt,took my original receipt and sent the supplier an email,we went back and fourth almost everyday for a couple of days but with no progress, he ended up saying that because it was shut down (covid)there's nothing the supplier can do,to this day he will look @ me when I'm in the store and say nothing about my situation,I have learnt to accept my scar and that being black in this country can be a disadvdisadvantage.I hope what happened to doesn't happen to the next person.
