Bread Moulds Quickly

Why does the Bakery brand brown bread have such a disgustingly short shelf life…a loaf already growing mould and it only reached its BB date today on the 28th of August 2026…for context I bought the bread on the 24th and opened it only eating 2 slices it has been tightly sealed since and stored at room temperature. Surely the bread was old from when I ordered it off of Checkers 60/60…extremely disappointed and checkers should take more care in preserving their bread and not giving customers bread that’s a quarter to expiry
