Much to the hype, people came early screaming and pushing they ran into checkers. There wasn't much difference from a normal sale compared to this black friday. For example, 18' 2ply toilet paper was reduced to R69. 99 but Clicks has the price every month. Nothing special there. I am sure there are more great examples of the ripoff.

People I spoke to, after the morning hype, noted that same products where more expensive compared to normal sale price. My opinion is that these stores sure made a profit.

Black friday was a great opportunity if you where looking for a specific item like say a 'stand mixer' and had the chance to browse through catalogs, and realistically see the products and price. Not when your running to see what is on sale or when you see a sale sticker on the items and you grabbing it just because. You will be **********, fooled.
