Beware of frozen goods at Checkers Muizenberg

I bought a box of Magnum Mini Almond ice cream at Checkers Muizenberg, got home, and opened one up, only to find a watery milky substance dripping out and the chocolate shell hollowed out halfway. It was obvious that the cold chain had been compromised despite taking it out of the fridge at Checkers. I had a similar situation in February this year with the same product. I contacted both Checkers and Unilever SA to complain, I was fobbed off with a voucher and it seems that no real action was taken. Who knows how many people get sick from this situation and how many products are affected by this? Please check items thoroughly if buying frozen from Checkers.
