Bad work experience
I worked at a Checkers store in Glen Balad, and my experience there was not good at all. I was part of a one-year learnership program called the YES for Youth program. Initially, I started as a grocery shelf packer, and later in the year, I became a Sixty60 customer representative. And i ended up not finishing the year program because that place was very toxic for me. Initially my leanership was supposed to end in April 2025, but i couldn't finish the my contract because of how i was treated at that place. Everything was going well until the current branch manager took over the shop, Mr Terrence.Mr. Terrence made our time at work really difficult. He would bully us and threaten to fire us without any reason, constantly issuing unreasonable warnings. It felt like he never listened to us or understood anything we said. Whenever we refused to sign those unfair warnings, he would punish us by not allowing us to take our lunch breaks. Personally, I felt like he didn't want me there at all. His actions made the work environment unbearable, and it was hard to continue feeling motivated or valued under his management. Another person who bul**** us in the same way was Karabo, the sales manager. Together, Karabo and Mr. Terrence made my work experience extremely difficult and unpleasant. Their behavior created a toxic environment that made it hard to stay motivated and feel respected.
