Bad service
We bought a heater for my my new grand daughters nursery, on opening the very tatty looking box, (the last one in the store) we saw that the heater had a big crack down the side and the handle was dirty and clearly a returned item . I immediately phoned the Blue Route store and reported the damaged heater. As I reside in Umhlanga Rocks I explained our predicament that I was unable to return the heater to the store as we were flying back to Durban that day. My daughter in law who had had a caesarian and could not drive was unable to return the damaged heater. I was told by Corrie that she would get back to me which she never did. I later spoke to Shiyaan and then an Elisha and emailed cflandorp and copied e claassen. I spoke to Chad and got my daughter in law to wattsapp me a photo of the damaged heater. I never got a response from Chad or an acknowledgement that he had received the photos. On messaging Chad this morning I was told that because we had'nt reported the heater damaged two months ago the buyer Carel Smit was not prepared to exchange the heater. This is so obviously a blatant untruth as you can see from recorded messages and I also have a ref no. 9356. The fact that the store took two months to contact the buyer is not my problem. I am very disappointed by Checkers dealings with this matter. I am a very regular Checkers Hyperama Umhlanga shopper and have always had an excellent relationship with them and now Blue Route Checkers have left me far from satisfied.
