Bad Customer Service

Good day

My Saturday morning on 25/08/2018 from 11:25 turned sour when assisted by cashier Dimakatso Nthebe (CO128 #0085 11:34:21 250818 S058451 R04 - This is the till number and time my items were scanned ended leaving shop @11:53) - I have misplaced my Stoned Cherie prescription glasses at the store counter - please enquire about them too

I stopped by with my son and daughter to get a few things before enrouting to Northwest. We got to Dimakatsos till (at the express double tills) she was in the 2nd till but chatting to her fellow colleagues who was seated in the 1st till and the frontshop personnel Mary was there too when I got there. There was not even a care in the world from Dimakatso to greet me but she just started scanning my items whilst have a chat with a colleague. My items included a 12 piece dinner set equating to R129.99 i then paid the items as i was paying she opened the box she found one of the mugs had a chip but showed her colleague never said a word to me i just stood there like i was non existent. She then asked one of her colleagues to go check if there is an individual mug on the shelf, this didn't really bother me because she was doing the right thing at the time.

The colleague returned after a while with no cup to bear. Dimakatso then eventually started talking to me telling me that there is no similar mug. I asked if I can go fetch another different dinner set she agreed.

Now this is where the sourness starts on my return with another dinner set she tells me the one i have is R120 and the one with chipped mug was R129.99 but I tell her I like that one then. She paused starts having an attitude towards rudely asks what must she do now, I told her well obviously you will refund me with R9.00 she then rolled her eyes at me and starts back chatting me and that's when I lost it literally screaming and shaking at the same time. I told her she can keep the R9 and the dinner set and that I will not tolerate being humiliated in public that way and told her that she has not been talking to me all this time and told her that I was very patient from being at the till from 11:34 to 11:53 the time management is very poor. There was now alot of people there, Mary included and security.

I then pushed the trolley out of shop leaving the set and money. Mary comes rushing now outside of checkers entrance with my R9.00 and the dinner apologising profusely on Dimakatsos behalf, I accepted her apology and told her Dimakatso needs to go to customer service training because what I experienced there I have never come across it at any of checkers branches I shop at regularly (Cradlestone, Sandton city, mall of the south and Atholl - they have exceptional customer service)

Please can someone intervene.
