Arrogance, gaslight and wrong pricing on shelf and told to stick with it!

Horrible service at Galleria Checkers Liquor, I saw as R42 bottle of Nitida Roxa Winemaker Selection | Coastal Region South Africa. I took 2 bottles in a shelf with about 20 bottles...When I went to pay, I was told another R60 or R70 was required from me!

I insisted that the bottle was R20, the cashier did not bother to check the price! I called the manager, showed the item, the price, and showed the label, who told me, "ngeke aphikisane nami" it was either I took the bottle at the price because Checkers had a policy of not honouring shelfing mistakes.

He did not even apologise, as much as I protested, he insisted he was correct, and I was the wrong one. The label was still there until I asked him to remove it...I was in gaslight from the store that did not bother to check labels on shelves and was blamed for it and told..." ngeke phela siphikisane"

There was not even a sorry...I only went to Checkers because there was no Spar in the area and Pick n Pay had no good selections. I do not think I will bother in the future to buy in a shop where people do not change labels, and when told, and proven, gaslight you with, "we don't honor the shelf price...ngeke siphikisane nawe"

I was a fool, who took an item, when I insist the price, prove it and be told like a schoolboy or by a nduna to shut up...
