Appalling Customer Service!.

On the 17th March I visited Checkers in westgate mall during my lunch break,I bought a few items one of which was a prepacked salad,I was assisted by a cashier by the name of Maudelyn Mahafina,after everything was scanned and payed for I noticed that the salad I had perchased was old(moulded cheesed,and rotting vegitables) I asked the cashier if it was okay if I went to exchange the item for a fresh head of lettuce,from which I didnt recieve a reply,I fetched the items and the client that was behind me complained about the poor quality of her food as I did.I was then told I would have to go to some office and ask for a cash refund,I asked why and I called the supervisor who was very proffesional and attended to the refund and also was very appologetic about the matter,I then went back to the cashier to pay for the lettuce.She was so damn rude and gave off such bad attidude,she couldnt scan the lettuce so she threw it aside,The client who was behind me complained about her obnoxious attitude. I wasted fifteen minutes because of her and the poor quality of food that I had taken.I work with clients everyday and Im surprised that the Shoprite Checkers group promotes such ********* and unprofessional customers service.Ill return to the Horizon view Checkers where staff knows how to proffesional deal with customers and sell food that doesnt violate health and saftey acts.
