Appaling service from Checkers Parkview!

What a terrible experience at Checkers Parkview on the afternoon of 12 August 2024. At 16h30 they have TWO cashiers available to customers. We were cueing far into the isles with no staff member doing anything about the matter. In the meantime, one couldn't help but notice numerous Checkers staff members in proud uniform standing around on the shop floor, chatting idling, anything but assisting customers. At the two till points that were indeed opened FOUR staff members were laughing and socializing as one person packed bags. It was infuriating. At some point I phone the Checkers Parkview store from my cell phone as I was still in the cue to desperately try and do something about the situation. I was transferred to (apparently) the Manager who couldn't comprehend what I was trying to explain when I said there are only two cashiers on the shop floor. I had to cut the call eventually. I paid for my shopping and then walked over to a lady called Sanie who sported proudly a big banner across her chest which read: Customer Service. Well. When I raised the situation, her response was that the staff had to go the bathroom, hence the reason for only two people being available. I could not believe what I hear. I again asked to speak to the Manager, and was referred to a man called King. He offered a "I am sorry Sir", and explained that he was on a conference call for 40 minutes and that that was the reason for the shop floor resulting into chaos. Well, unfortunately that is not good enough reason to your consumers and customers, Checkers. I am appalled!!!!
