Accident in isle, Checkers not worried

<p>Firstly I want to say that its shocking that Checkers is probably making so much money that they dont have to care about their brand anymore...</p> <p> </p> <p>I was not going to make a big thing about it, but looking at the big blue/green/yellow bruse on my daughters forehead, I realised just again, that it could have been much worse, yet 7 days after my child had an accident that was caused by Checkers' incompenet staff they still have not contacted us to find out if she is ok...</p> <p> </p> <p>On the 30th of December, we went to Checkers Cape Gate Cape Town. Walking through the camping isle, there was a worker packing the shelves with camping chairs. As we walked past one of the big Campmaster chairs fell off the top shelve, hit my 2 year old on the head, the force was so great that it knocked her right out of the trolly, head overheels and the fell flat on her face!!! A manager visiting the store saw what happend and came to us. after she assessed that my daughter was ok, she then went to the guys packing the shelves, he dissappeared never to be seen again...</p> <p>She came back to me and asked me if I would be so kind as to fill in some forms. Went to the front office, to be told that the need to just get the forms, would I mind coming back.</p> <p>I went to the bathrooms to go ans wash my daughters face, went back and was handed a blank piece of paper from the printer. I was asked to just right down my details, and if I want to a "report" of what happend...</p> <p>Handed it to another lady that was in the office. She says to me please sign the report, then she will make a copy for me. I told her to get the branch manager to sign it first before she gives me a copy.</p> <p>She came back made a copy and sent me on my way. Not once did the branch manager or the assistant branch manager come to see if my daughter was ok, or to appoligise for what happend... As I was leaving I turned to the girl that was helping me and I said to her that it is shame that the branch manager does not give a rats ass about what had happend!!! Low and behold the regional manager was also visiting that day. They called him over, and he asked the ladies if the branch manager was informed of what happend, they rep**** yes. He then asks me, do I want them to call the branch manager, I said to him no, why must he be called to come and check or care for that matter...</p> <p>As we all know, the offices are right in front by the tills, and by this time everyone was staring at us... My daughter with a massive egg on the forehead, my poor son and me also crying... I left as it was all to much!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>It is the 6th of January today, a whole week after the accident, and still not checkers....</p> <p> </p> <p>Absolutly appalling!!!!</p>
