A Tale of 2 Stores

I was at Cresta Centre on 14th September 2024. First, I shopped at Pick n Pay Cresta. When I arrived at the till, I was greeted by the cashier " Good Day Sir. How are you." I paid and she said " Thank you Sir. Have a nice day"

I then proceeded to Checkers. When I arrived at the till the cashier ignored me. No greeting, nothing. She did not even look at me. She scanned my goods (4 units of 1 product). Then she asked me " Are you paying by card" I said yes. She told me that she had made a mistake and rung the sale as cash and that I needed to draw R180,00 cash so she could fix the mistake. I refused, told her it was her problem and that all I wanted to do was pay and leave. The supervisor was called, and I was again asked to pay cash. I refused and asked to go to another till, pay and leave. The manager (Justice) then arrived. They proceeded to fix the cashier's mistake. I kept asking that I be allowed to pay and leave. I was ignored. After 20 minutes I was finally allowed to pay. The stupidity, incompetence and bad manners on the part of the staff of Checkers Cresta is the reason I try not to shop there.
