A bad experience turned Good

Just wanted to share an experience at Checkers Reservoir Hills . Last week after shopping at the branch,i swiped my card to pay at the tills but as per cashier it showed as declined hence was prompted to redo which went through this time around.After done ,I then realsied I had received two same notifications on the banking app and checked transaction list and was dismayed to see that I was double debited and immediately went through to the manager on duty : Idrees and advised him what transpired anls well as showed him banking statement to verify.He took all details and advised would get back to me and he proceeded to notify head office/bank etc..

Being apprehensive I called several times to check on status of query and was called back to be informed that as per procedure I would have to come back to collect an authorisation form to take to my bank to have money reserved.. To say I became irate was an understatement as felt justified in expecting the reversal to be done by store as wasn't my fault hence I shouldn't be thus inconvenienced and called Checkers head office and discussed matter with an efficient official: Elisha and received a prompt solution.Idrees also called me back to advise he had spoken to the bank at length and finally they had agreed for him to email me the authorisation form and I would have to contact them and send them myself the form which was done and within a short space of time the reversal was done but did take me 3calls to various consultants at Capitec before a most efficient consultant : Ncebakazi Mthi resolved matter.

I commend Elisha and Idrees for a phenomenal customer expirence and for going beyond the call of duty in ensuring delivering on their promises made ,as well as the follow up calls to ensure everything was promptly expedited.It's thanks to these outstanding, caring and efficient guys that the matter has been speedily resolved and my faith in good service restored.And at Capitec bank I sincerely commend Ncebakazi.It's thanks to dedicated and caring folks like these outstanding guys that keep us consumers happy and our continued support of their companies.

Things do go wrong , but it's how it's resolved that makes a huge impact and these courses of their actions have ensured my continued support, patronage and word of mouth advertising as well as social media encouragement for everyone out there to look no further than Checkers and Shoprite stores for all their shopping requirements and to look no further than Capitec when it comes to banking.
