Tip to Smile?

My first visit at the actual outlet TYGERVALLEY BRANCH .

Super Friendly on approach to be invitational with specials on menu. Tables are not wiped on seating one. It is also clear all tables do not get wiped in-between exchange of new clients, when table appear clean enough.

Service - well - NONE- You order your order infront and thats the end of it. No one check up at your table, to offer or find out if you would like a second coffee or if everything was to satisfaction etc.

You have to ask for your bill.

No card machine- you have to go pay at counter where you ordered.

The entire friendliness disappear at realization of a R10 tip on R340 bill.

My children have both been in the Industry. Earned extremely well on salary and tips. Which was earned not picked up for no added value and or comfort. I am a believer of a tip, for taking care of a client. Not for earning only you own salary.

Many of us have to work very hard to earn our salaries. We receive no tips for the services we deliver in our Industries. However, there are too many in servuce Industries who rely and expect a tip for only earning their salary, not earning a tip. Tips come from monies all people have to work hard to get. Their is a respect land value comprehension, not well gasped by many, We are in 2024, it is by time adults do what it takes, s those who earn what they tip other with, had to earn it in many sacrificing ways to able such an afford at other.

In my book, if it was not earned, do not expect it. Do not give a smile or a service, if it is not genuine. Rather try another Industry. I do not want to pay to obtain a natural God given privilege. We choose who we area nd how we want to bring our self across.

New spot, have much to up-skill them-self with, it could add warmth to the spot. Before it was a Italian coffee shop with class, style, charisma and warmth.

The cake was tasteful, a tad to fresh in the tasting. Smooth and refined otherwise.

The pastry with cheese and spinach filling, super crispy , tasty.

Well priced

Just add a welcoming that stay, irrespective. Always a nice touch to wipe all tables,clean appearance or not, a while ago everyone was freaking out about a created virus. Lets maintain hygiene.

I gave the exact same message to the researcher who was in the shop for observation and reports during my visit, who approached me to give my feedback when we were done.
