Poor Service and Bad staff attitude

<p>I purchased a cookies and cream cake from your Durban North branch and was extremely disappointed in the service and attitude recieved from the staff. If it wasnt for the fact that the cake was for my daughter's birthday, I would have walked out of the store without a 2nd thought. Firstly, when asking for assistance, the gentleman helping me knew nothing about the cakes, what was in stock and the prices. He kept asking the cashier who was helping the another customer and she refused to assist him in assisting me. There was a manageress on site but she too didnt intervene. Eventually I ended up showing the guy where the cake was and the price. I bought a 18cm Cookies and Cream cake. As metioned it was for a birthday party and I asked the guy to please cut the cake. He told me no as it was against company policy to open the box. So I opened it for him and gave him permision to cut the cake. It is only at this point that the manager intervened, only to tell him not to cut the cake, and proceed to tell me its against company policy... which is bull. I went to the Pavillion store the day before and the manager at that store was more than happy to assist with the same. He was even able to assist me with cutting into smaller pieces. The only reason I opted for the Durban North store is, it was closer to the birthday venue. The manageress put on a real show for the customers there and I was highly embrassed as to have to argue about something as simple as cutting the cake.</p>
