WHERE IS THE JUSTICE
We rented a property in October 2019 through Aero South Properties t/a Chas Everitt Centurion .Firstly a tenant is to supply a snag list which we duly did by and sent same to the Agency within 24 hours of moving into the property, We were told that there would be an inspection on the property every 3 months, which was totally acceptable by us (as this is in favour of the Land Lord) The lease agreement states that all parties would sign this inspection list. Five months later, no inspection list was given to us to sign. In the five months we were there four inspections done yet no joy in getting the snag list completed. (so in essence the Agency looked after the best interest of the Land Lord but not that of the tenant ) We lived in a home and were paying for amenities that could not be used, and lights that would come on 4 am every morning and the kitchen light that turns off after every 27 seconds was becoming a major problem and living conditions unbearable. We were not allowed to have these issues remedied ourselves. The Jacuzzi could never be used, and the remote garage was never fixed as promised. The irregularities and compliance from the Agency was unspeakable, and nothing could be resolved between them and the Land Lord which was evidently one of the main problems, (as the Land Lord was difficult and never kept to the appointments that were made to repair and or fix the items on the snag list ) This affected us as the tenants in so many ways . (stress, bullying, victimization, and compliance from agency was just not forthcoming. Endless meetings held ,emails upon emails was to no avail) We were given notice without reason after the first month (The Agency not wanting the matter to go to the Housing Tribunal as the Land Lord was in breach, had 3 meetings with us and promises to have the snag list resolved and the matter of Breach of contract from their client resolved) Appointments were then broken by the Land Lord on many occasions leaving us the tenant waiting weekends with not even a phone call to cancel the appointments, The Agency was clearly not enforcing the rules as per the lease agreement on their client (the Land Lord) Non performance by the Agency resulted in us having to move as we were just simply being abused. At the end of the day we the tenants are the biggest losers, and the Agency walks away with no penalties. Where is the justice ??? The Housing Tribunal could not take our case, as we had moved out of the property. So that means we would have had to endure more bullying and stay on at the property regardless of the affects it had on us, in order to get some sort results.
