Pathetic excuses not to pay out my deposit

I am still waiting on my deposit refund after a month after I moved out my former place, I followed all the right steps in giving my notice for 2 months and followed everything to the letter that the contract states and still no refund yet, I keep getting excuses from the agent saying the other tenants have to pay me the deposit back which is ridiculous as the contract is with Chass Everitt and not with the two of them. I really would like this situation to be sorted as I am already a months rent behind at the place I currently am now and I cant do anything until this situation has been resolved
