BAD SERVICE

I contacted Chas Everitt in August 2016 to sell my property. My initial consultation with the agent went relatively well . We could not agree on an asking price. Unbeknownst to me they advertised my property without us agreeing on a selling price. The price which they advertised for was way less than what I bought the for is 2013. When I complained to the area agent he told me the advertised price was a fare asking price.

i eventually got an independent valuation on property and engaged the service of another estate agent.

Dear Mr Mouton

We have discussed the matter with the Franchise Principal. He has advised that there was an exclusive mandate granted by yourself to market your property. Subsequent to initial marketing, you requested that the price was raised, which was done. You requested that the mandate be cancelled as you wished to engage other parties. The franchise did not agree to this. A sale was concluded by yourself in breach of the terms of the exclusive mandate you had granted. The matter has subsequently been handed over to attorneys to resolve. Regrettably, we will not be able to comment any further with the matter now being sub judice.

Kind Regards,
