Today , after going through a stop street and turning right without indicating , a man in a white bakkie cut me off and took the parking space I was driving into . He then proceeded to verbally abuse me while parking so I shook my head. This was witnessed by a shopper AND the security. The shopper said there is a new bad element in the area and it happened to him. I saw two Checkers managers standing outside the liquor store and asked the one manager to please witness what I was going to do. I approached the man in the bakkie and asked if he just swore at me. He continued verbally abusing me . I told him I was going to report him and he laughed and said WHO are you going to report me to and told to ... off. Witnessed again by “security” who did not come to my aid . The guy then just sat there in the car smirking. I went back to the checkers manager and asked who to report it to and he really couldn’t be bothered and just pointed to the centre management office. There is NOTHING but a door with a sign – No people at the centre management office. I went around the back where 3 guys were sitting and asked where the management was – they ignored me . I then went into checkers to try find help somewhere and asked ANOTHER manager – he told me to go report it to the car guards. The car guard had WITNESSED the verbal assault and did nothing. I then found an ADT vehicle in the parking area and he said he didn’t work there so wouldn’t help. This is NOT the first time I have had issues at this centre. I lost my wallet and it was handed into checkers with R800 cash missing . The manager told me a car guard handed it in but blatantly refused to tell me who until I opened a police docket. I did that and the police went and they **** to the police saying they don’t know who handed the wallet in. So again, if you are expecting any assistance or safety is a woman, don’t bother. Clearly swearing and disrespecting woman with threats is absolutely acceptable there. I will never return to that centre. The lack of management and blatant disregard from checkers management or the so called security on site is appalling. They look at you with blank faces as if me being verbally assaulted is absolutely acceptable and I am the idiot for being upset . NEVER AGAIN
