Converted Single Garage - Is money making more important than honesty?

What a disappointment. The photos is presented in such a way as to show a place that looks roomy and with a one bedroom - typical 1 bedroom flat. The impression is created that it looks over the sea and over the pool. What we got was a long narrow room with the double bed as you enter, a worn couch and the small kitchen- all fitted into a single converted garage. The window in the bathroom opens into the other 2 garages resulting in fumes coming into the room. The braai is in front towards the street which is extremely unsafe as their is an open park close by where unsavory elements drink and party. We left afer the 1 night and I indicated to the owner that he should do the right thing and refund 50% of my money. Obviously his response was that nobody has complained before and did not pay anything back except the breakage deposit. This is once again a situation where the impression created is false and misleading. There is no way 2 people can stay in a small converted garage for 8 days. We fortunately got a place in Umhlanga at R3000 more for triple the space and security. At least we are now enjoying our holiday. I will avoid this place as it is misrepresented and very unsafe!
