******, uneducated ***s at this so called excuse of a hospital!!!

On Friday the 5th of February 2021 at 11:40 AM my mom collapsed at work her boss was with her and said she had a seizure, we thought my mom had a fit as she had a history of fits when we she was younger so we were hoping it was nothing too serious - her boss Immediately called 911 and consoled my mom until they got there. Because my mom wasn’t on a medical aid they had to take her to the nearest state hospital to do a CT scan to figure out what had triggered the seizure or fit as she was complaining about a bad headache. They took her to South Rand as it was closest to where my mom worked, we were then told they don’t carry CT scan machines at the hospital and the doctor told the ambulance to take my mom to the old Johannesburg Gen Hospital (Charlotte Maxeke Hospital).. we arrived at the Charlotte Maxeke hospital at 14:30 PM!! Almost 2 and a half hours after my mom had collapsed where my mom was then taken to casualties.. we stayed at this ****ing useless hospital from 14:30 PM when she was admitted to 20:30 PM with little to no information on what’s happening with my mom.. throughout the many hours of sitting and waiting we kept on asking the stupid *********** nurses what’s going on but they were more interested in sleeping or playing on their phones! Eventually almost 4 hours from being admitted the one nurse told us she had gone for a CT scan... this is just to prove how useless they really are my mom was admitted as a critical patient! But no my mom was pushed to the back of the queue for all the non-critical patients to go first (half of the people laying on those beds weren’t even in desperate need of a scan probably there for a bed to sleep in and free food)! Hours went by and we didn’t know what to do so my boyfriend decided to phone into the casualties hoping the nurse who answers the call will give us more information if the results have come back from the CT scan and my moms condition - so the nurse said my mom is back from her CT scan her results will be ready in two hours, she is stable, she’s awake and she is talking but she hasn’t asked for her family yet... so we thought ok my mom is stable so we might as well go home and come back early in the morning. My sister in law phoned the hospital again at 23:00 PM two hours later where the shifts had obviously changed as someone else answered the phone anyways she asked the nurse if they had gotten the results back yet and how my mom is doing - the nurse said the results aren’t back as yet and my moms condition since she was admitted hasn’t changed and that’s she’s not awake and hasn’t spoken!! So the first nurse that my boyfriend phoned and spoke to **** to him about my moms condition obviously to get us to stop calling! This is just to prove how disgusting these things are that work at this poor excuse of a hospital. No feeling unless it’s their own family member!

On Saturday the 6th of February we got back to the hospital at around 08:30 AM I told them my mom was admitted the previous day at 14:30 PM and At this stage I wasnt asking to see her but demanding to see her! where the one nurse came out and said the doctor would like to talk to my dad and I.. he called us into his office at around 08:45 AM and continued to tell us that my mom had a brain aneurysm and when she had her initial fall at work is when her aneurysm first ruptured which is why she was complaining of a bad headache then around 02:00 AM early hours Saturday morning she had her second bleed. He was so rude and abrupt on how he told us the bad news! In his words she’s had an intracranial brain aneurysm and she’s by law brain dead.. this pathetic hospital couldn’t even phone us to let us know that my mom had a second bleed and all of our number was on her file when she was admitted but no they used the excuse that they couldn’t get hold of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And to top all of this off they gave my moms jewellery back to us instead of her gold chain which they had ******!!! Honestly no compassion or feeling for an already grieving family!!

All I can say is you’re a pathetic bunch of ***s who don’t care about the health of others! You there to treat your own kind, but sit and play games on your phones and sleep because your so called job is so hard when it comes to our kind!!!! I’m disgusted in the lot of you and I don’t and will never understand how you are classified as humans if anything a bunch of ***s is what you are!!! If this was your mother would you have let her suffer to her death like you did to mine?! I blame you for not taking her into the scan immediately and treating the problem there and then instead you leave her laying there to worsen and die!

I hope you all have what’s coming to you so you can feel the pain I’ve had to endure for the past 3 weeks of not having a mom anymore! I hope you ALL ROT IN HELL!!!!! Maybe you should all go find jobs as cashiers as that’s the type of job where you can afford to be the lazy ****s you all are instead of playing with peoples lives in your useless hands!!!!

And yes this is a racial issue! Because of how we as the family were treated and shunted away for just wanting to know if our mom, wife and sister was ok yet everyone else around us was served like kings!
