PRAISE to the Urological dept. of Charlotte Maxeke General Hospital.

My name is Keith and I would like to praise the incredible support and care given to me whilst I was in the Charlotte Maxeke hospital (the Johannesburg General Hospital). I was admitted in the early hours of the morning as an emergency. My problem was Urological and I was immediately attended to by Dr. S.Vawada and Dr. N. Pappleton. Wow, what excellent doctors. Other doctors whom I would like to mention are Dr. J.R. Jonosky and Dr. L. Mugoni. There were many other doctors who cared for me but I was not able to get all their names. I apologize to those who’s names I did not get but they are all excellent. Everyday I was visited by at least 3 teams of doctors – they were always very helpful and willing to explain to me what they intended to do and the reasons why. I was sent for many tests – everyone was so nice and thoughtful. I was also visited by the nutritionist who advised on diet as well as the physiothe****** Malehae Gerty who assisted me in the use of crutches. Lovely people. The food was very good and every meal was tasty and nutritious. The day nursing was exceptional and there was always someone keeping an eye on you. They were friendly and went out their way to ensure you were pain free and well cared for. The night staff was also good. The pharmacy has computerized their handling of medication and it was a pleasure to be so quickly and effectively helped. The new system is fantastic. I highly recommend the Charlotte Maxeke hospital as it has been one of the best hospital experiences I have ever received. Thank you.
