my terrifying experience in maternity ward

My name is Paige, I am an 18 year old soon to be mother. I am seven months pregnant and on Friday night, the 29th of April I had experienced bleeding, which being my first pregnancy was extremely frightening. I had rushed to the hospital as it was the closest one to me at the time and when I got there my situation was merely shrugged off and taken no priority of. i was asked to fill out forms to make a file and then waited an hour and 45 minutes before deciding to leave to go to a private hospital seeing as I had thought that something was going wrong and I would've gotten immediate attention at a private hospital (which I did) instead of having to wait for the nurses to be ready to see me which could've lasted up till the next morning. In that process there had been other pregnant women sleeping on the floor waiting to be attended to. Some of them past 42 weeks of pregnancy who had to wait to be induced so that there was a bed available to give birth. Another woman had been screaming and crying in the next room in labour waiting to give birth. Other women I had spoken to had been waiting in that room on the floor since the previous day to get their results. The nurses seemed so uninterested and I felt like a burden on them. I felt neglected and fearful as they didn't explain anything or show any sign of interest. The nurses were merely sitting around , one looking directly at me as I waited to be seen to. Eventually I spoke to a doctor because I felt no sense of care from anyone there and I left. They had made me sign a form that I left on my on terms which seemed like they just wanted to cover themselves. I feel disgraced to call these people helpful as they were no help at all and didn't even allow my mother to sit with me. I was scared and alone and had no comfort or support from them whatsoever. I feel like I'd rather be in debt for the rest of my life to give birth privately than to go to a public hospital where they don't even care if your baby survives or not.
