Human Rights to healthcare

Tonight the 11th of September 2025 I decided to take my son (16 months old) to Joburg Gen hospital. The least to say it was the most horrible experience and service I have ever received from a state hospital and man oh man have I had my fair share ...at least the others actually helped my kids and saw to them and were not turned away "because he isn't an emergency" least to say my child was diagnosed clinically dehydrated. I arrived at Joburg Gen hospital at 17h25 with a crying 16 month old in my arms refusing to have anything offered sensitive to touch. The Triage nurse took my file to the nurse or doctor not even sure as they don't even introduce themselves to tell the nurse i must wait as what I gathered from the look...to crying for 2 and half hours straight ...to get seen to at 19h55 to get told sorry we can't see to your son we understand you're frustrated but this is emergencies only ..so as any mom I got up and decided to leave after I asked again so I must leave after I wait for almost 3 hours to be told I must go. This is very ********* and I told her I thought this was good hospital to be responded with "Ai shame" Honestly disgraceful and ********* service. VERY VERY SAD. nevertheless I left and will be posting and reporting this to whoever need be. As us south Africans have a right to healthcare regardless of emergency or not.
