Charlotte Maxeke Hospital - shocking service

My dad was admitted to Charlotte Maxeke hospital on 15/05/2015. CT scans and MRI's showed a tumour on his brain. He had to wait for more than a month for a space to get a biopsy done - whole process took almost 3 months whilst he had to stay in hospital. They confirmed he had lung cancer which had already spread to his brain. The doctors told us it was quite serious and that Oncology had to see him before he was discharged to speak to him about his treatment options. Oncology only phoned 2 weeks after he was discharged. Follow up appointment with the surgeon and initial appointment with Oncology was 14 August. For his follow up appointment, it was another neuro surgeon who had never consulted with him before and the surgeon had no knowledge of the case and asked my dad to explain. This should have been on his patient file. Oncology then sent him to radiology who had no knowledge of him. He was told to come back in 6 months. They didn't even tell him what treatment he will get or what he should expect. He is to weak to work, thus not earning income and can't wait 6 months to find out what his options are or to only start treatment then. This is unacceptable
