Horrible service

We were visiting Port Owen, and decided to make a reservation for Mother's Day lunch. We had the most unpleasant experience. Our reservation was for 13:30 - when we arrived, we were told where our table was, and it took forever for a waiter to attend to us and also to inform us that the menu is very limited ito options, which I was not made aware of when making the booking. Eventually by 14:30 I asked what the delay was with the starters, and we were told that the kitchen is overwhelmed, after that, no communication from staff as to how long the food will take to arrive etc. After 15:15, our food arrives (starter), but not everybody's food arrived at the same time. My sister's order was also wrong, but she decided not to make a fuss. We were tired, hungry and annoyed. I took my family to this restaurant for a pleasant mother's day experience, and it honestly spoiled the day for us, I felt so disappointed, especially for my mom that was really looking forward to it. Because of this delayed service, our day was cut short, and could not do much exploring for the rest of the day. I will not recommend anybody to go to Charlie's on special days like mother's day. What a major let-down!!!! Never again!!!
