Charles Pro Pools poor client service, lots of attitude

What a terrible customer experience. I requested a quote for a pool pump replacement. They recommended assessing it 1st before deciding on replacement. i then explained what was wrong and they still recommended lets assess 1st, to which i agreed. then when asking costs associated with the assessment i got told its R250 a call out but if it can be repaired on the day then the R250 falls away and the cost would automatically be R1500 incl parts & labour, etc... I queried this stating that i have a few stores close by where i could get parts should it be needed, also what if the parts are under R500, would the costs then still be a fixed R1500. the responses i got was shocking to be honest - and i quote - ''We won't help each other if we both wants to be specialists here, Why don't you try what you think it is then see if it works or not''- then he also said - ''What happens in business is that when us contractors give you the price. You have to decide to accept or not. So even if the cost of the part is 50 rand it's not your concern anymore what matters to you is to know that the problem has been fixed'' ''If you have done business before l guess you know what am talking about because cost of parts is not your concern as client'' - i then queried the tone and the comments as i feel its our right as clients to ask questions, irrespective of the price, this is the response i got ''It's my first time to be interrogated like this since I started my business. Go through my page see people that l have worked for so far you will be surprised because l have never disappointed someone so if that's how you do your business then try to get another company because that's not how l do my business, never have i been asked so much questions for of 1500?'' quite clearly client satisfaction is not at the forefront here and if he doesnt want to disclose his hourly rate even after being repeatedly asked then i would be extremely weary
