Rude Management.
Edenvale Branch Rude Management: While taking advantage of some of the wonderful sales, we get to the cashiers to find 1 cuts of fabric was full price. Of course we query if this is correct, and 5 other customers realise they too have fabric that is also full price, eventhough they were on discount racks. The cashiers kept going to the back to talk to the manager, who told the cashiers that, the higher price was correct and that was all. After a massive shouting match followed, and the manager still did not come to help. Dispute customers reminding the staff of the Consumers Act. By this point 3/5 tills were jammed, the queue twenty strong and some customers leaving their cut material in disgust. On leaving the store, my mother voiced how disappointed she was in the experience, the 'apparently' manager stepped up asking what was wrong, she explained the problem. The manager said that it was NOT Chamdor's fault and NOT their problem. My mom asked if he was blaming the customers, to which he said yes, turned his back and walked away.
A few post notes: If 5 customers have fabric from a discount rack there is obviously an error on the floor, where is the training and management of floor staff.
Why not speak to customers instead of insulting them? Had a cashier or manager simply said that there was a shelving error we would have been happy to pay full price, but implying that we are trying to cheat you is not smart.
I know some people can be really rude to peeps in the retail industry, I've been there. But this was wrong.
