BOOKINGS.COM - REFUND FROM CHAKAS COVE BALLITO UNIT 85 / 97

I cancelled my booking with Bookings.com on the 5th January with no cancellation fee. I contacted the owner, Mr H Preen via cell phone and at the time he said he wasn't sure that I had booked his unit. I assured him it was his unit and that I required a full refund. I e-mail him at *** I then tried to contact him again the following week with no answer. I then, as per his message, whatsapp him requesting a full refund, giving him proof of the booking, proof of the cancellation in time so as not to pay any penalties and as of today, I have had no reply. I tried again today to reach him via cell and he did not answer. His voice mail box is full. His booking lady answered the other line and confirmed that they received my whatsapp but that the owner was not refunding presently as they are battling with the "Lock down" etc. I then asked whether he was taking booking and she confirmed that he was. This then confirmed he is still hosting holiday makers and getting paid but is reneging on his responsibility of refunding my deposit. I do not recommend that you book with this man. He obviously has no ethics and you might find that you, like me are out of pocket. I also informed the booking lady that I was putting this review onto Hellopeter.
