Williams Hunt Midrand

I have had such a terrible experience with Williams Hunt Midrand and their complete lack of knowledge when it comes to the cars that they sell, that I will never again buy a car that is associated with them in any way.

I drive a Chevrolet Sonic and have had issues with my cooling system. I have spent R9989.20 so far this year at Williams Hunt Midrand over 2 separate occasions.

After being assured after each overly priced service that my cooling system issues would be resolved (they tried to charge me close to R3000 during my last service to replace windscreen wipers and a fog light), I now find myself, once again, stuck on the side of the road with a burst pipe. I paid R4000 for my pipes to be replaced at my last service on 29/03/2019 (keep in mind that I had to wait 5 days without a car for them to resolve a burst pipe, which led to all of my pipes being replaced). The service prior to this was done on 31/01/2019. My car has a full service history on top of this.

My experience with Williams Hunt has left me with the following impressions:

- Williams Hunt’s mechanics and service department have no idea how to identify the root causes of issues in the cars that they service. - Williams Hunt services their cars with cheap parts. If the parts are authentic then that is even worse, because the quality is then obviously terrible.

I will warn everyone I know about the risks of buying anything associated with Williams Hunt.
