Williams Hunt damaged my vehicle during a routine service

I took my car in for a scheduled service at Williams Hunt in Roodepoort.

After receiving the vehicle back from them, i drove 9km towards my house when i couldn't get my car out of first gear. i got it out and pulled over to the side of the road. Once i managed to get it out of first gear it got stuck in reverse at which point i called a tow truck and we towed it.

The next day Williams Hunt told me that my clutch was broken and they quoted me R 14 988.55 in total to repair. I don't see how a car can come back from a service and break down 9km away from where it was serviced.

I regret taking my car to Williams Hunt Roodepoort.

Also, this is very suspicious as this was my last service on the maintenance plan.

Disgusting business ethics...
