Waited 3 WEEKS for my car to be repaired
I took my Chev Spark in for a check and repair at the Pretoria branch in Visagie street on the 6th of August. I admit that I did this without making a booking, since my car was overheating and I needed it repaired urgently, and my previous repair shop had closed down.
Upon booking my car in, I was told that it'll take a while to get to my car since they're busy, but it was estimated that I will have it back by the 12th of August, since there was a long weekend in-between. I agreed to this, and left my car there.
I had to call every day to find out what the progress was on my car, and by the 12th they had only run a diagnostic, hadn't obtained approval for any repairs or parts yet, and couldn't tell me when my car will be ready.
Fast forward to the 22nd of August, and I'm still calling every day, and I'm told that my car will be ready on the 23rd. I took an Uber from the Gautrain station to Williams Hunt's Pretoria branch, only to find out that NOTHING had been fixed on my car. The parts were ordered, but the service technicians hadn't even started to fix it yet, and were planning on starting on it "the next day". Oh, and the additional fees will be R1900.
I was very polite but insistent about the bad service and additional personal expense I had to undergo, and got the R1900 waivered, but I'm not using them again if I can help it. Absolutely unacceptable.
I'm going back this afternoon to pick up my car, and if nothing had been fixed on it, I'm insisting on the parts, and will find someone else to put it in.
