Terrible Service
Good day
I took my vehicle in for a service at the Williams Hunt in Midrand.
Date: July 27, 2018.
The only reason I did take my vehicle there is because I was under the impression that my vehicle was still under warrentee which I was told later on during quote stage that the vehicle is not under warrentee. I agreed to only complete the service for the vehicle and not have the cambelt changed as I will have it done elsewhere for less and the vehicle is no longer warrentee, I am not obligated to have it done through the Agent. I arrived before 07:00 and had my vehicle booked in by Garreth. It was getting close to 13:00 and I did not receive a call with the progress or the quote for the service. I called the service department and asked for Garreth. (12:56) I was advised that he will follow-up with the lady who deals with his calls. I then receive a call from JP at 13:37 with the quote. He provided me an amount that included the part to have the vehicle window fixed and when I asked it was not included in the warrentee, that's when he advised that the warrentee expired March this year. I then advised that I would like the service and the cambelt done only. After receiving advice from a family member, I realised that I did not need to have the service done by an Agent as the warrentee is over. I tried to call JP back and ask if its possible not to go ahead with the service but to definitely leave out the cambelt. (13:47) He said that he would remove the cambelt and check if they have started with the service. After many frustrating calls back and forth, he eventually told me that the mechanic already removed the oil so that will have to be replaced and he will call me back with that price. He didn't call, I had to call him and he then gave me the service estimate of about R1850.00. I agreed to have the service done and leave out the cambelt. When I eventually got to the Service Centre to fetch the vehicle, JP battled with printing out the correct invoice. I was already frustrated and did not get to check what was done on the vehicle but whilst still there I made sure the spare tyre and jack was still in the boot. As I was driving around I noticed that the brake now makes a sweaky sound which was not there before. When I asked them to check the door, they opened up the drivers door compartment with God only knows what because the handle is lose and there are dents and scratches that was not there before. There is also a grease stain on the interior of the roof on the drivers side. I am completely dissastified with the service and to be honest don't even want to go back. When I called this morning to vent my frustrations and anger, JP advised that he will transfer me to the Service Manager. The call then ended prematurely and I have enough airtime on my side. I want my vehicle sorted properly. I am now not even confident that the service was carried out correctly.
