Reeds N1 City Pathetic Customer Service

This must be the worst service I have ever received from any company in my life!

Not going to even mention the previous issues where I had to go to the ombudsman, or where reports on brakes are different from specialists. Let’s get straight into the latest!

I have been complaining from my Astra’s 1st service that something wasn’t right. Each service the same answer, can’t find anything. After the 45000 km service, the car started to make the weirdest noise when I start the engine. So I took the car in…

26 /07 Took car in and had to email them a clip of the noise. Got a call at 13h33 that they need an extra day. I agreed, but requested feedback.

27/07 No feedback, so at close of business I had to arrange transport.

28/07 Emailed service manager who apologised and commit to give me feedback…close of business, again I had to arrange transport – no feedback.

29/07 Emailed again. This time I was informed that no one can hear the noise. Taking in consideration that I gave them a clip of the noise. The following was the best and I quote the service manager “Unfortunately with noises it is all dependent on the person listening and what pitch of noise it is one has to listen for. Something that is different from every person.” I requested a letter stating that nothing is wrong and that I am allowed to take the car to an independent contractor (under warranty). Now, bear in mind, after the email and indicating that noone can hear the noice, I was contacted by the service agenet who informed me that the technisian was off the previous day...20 minutes later I get another call and suddenly I am not deaf anymore, problem found and they need 2 days to fix it! So I was told the parts will be at the dealership by close of business and we agreed to leave the car in the workshop so that they can start Monday morning 1st thing. As it is Friday, close of business on Tuesday the 2nd of August would have been 2 days.

Thursday, the 4th I was contacted as Reeds was apparently now waiting for a lift to open up so that they can sort out my car.

Friday, the 5th I was contacted with “hopefully we will have it fixed next week” as we have done all the work but need to put everything togehter and then test drive the car.

So, it took Reeds Delta N1 City basically 4 days to find the problem after all types of excuses.

A 2 day repair time is now on 5 days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Total 2 weeks without my car and I am sure this will grow even more…

In the mean time I am without transport and have to pay an installment on something I do not even have in my position. No use I email, as it will only end in a empty promise.

This is a great adverti*****t for the Reeds and GM Motor Group!
