REEDS Bellville/Tygervalley - New Opel range - Be careful before you buy

REEDS Bellville/New Opel Astra - Be careful before you buy

I bought my Opel Astra 1.4T at the Reeds Tygervally Branch in December 2017 it had 24000km, my experience there was great they have a friendly sales team and good service.

On 20 June 2018 my engine started giving problems, lack in power and strange noises, the car still being so new giving these types of problems I had to take it in to Reeds to have it looked at, first call was made and the first time they can see my car would be the 6th of July 2018 but it would be better for me to come in the damage could be worse that we think. I take my car in that same day to have someone atlest have a look and the only thing the mechanic can tell me is that my engine is misfiring and he will only know what is going on until he has a look and that if I drive any more that my car could break further, I contact Reeds Tygervalley and they immediately give me a courtesy car, which in my eyes is the right thing to do not the "nice" thing as I have had my car for 6 months.... 4 weeks go by and having to struggle to get any information out of the Service/maintenance rep I had to go to the place that sold me the vehicle - Reeds Tygervalley my sales person Mathew has "tried" to help out and so has his branch Manager Luke but this is just as useless as before. I was told that they are getting a whole new engine from PE and that I would have my car by either Friday the 28th Of July or Monday the 30th of July 2018 - none of these lies have come true and now the sales person contacts me after I have to yet again run after them to tell me that he could be lieng but the car would most probably be done by next week Tuesday only.

This is ridiculous service and I would seriously have anyone wanting to buy a new opel to make sure you have your own "certified mechanic" because it will most probably break and you will also have to wait for months until you get your car back.

If you want any more stories about why you shouldn't but from reeds, please contact me as I have more stories of unsatisfied customers.

Kind Regards,

Lee
