Poor service and False claims

DO NOT BUY AT WILLIAMS HUNT RANDBURG!

Poor service and false promises.

To sum up, I paid a holding deposit on a vehicle in a great condition according to the salesman on his request, with the promise that they will not sell the vehicle and make sure it is ready for pick up. They did not live up to these responsibilities and sold the car. And I still haven't received my holding deposit back.

Here is my full experience, While enquiring about a used vehicle on Saturday 7 November, the salesman offered me another vehicle, which according to him is in a excellent condition. I am from Rustenburg and could not make it to the dealership before closing time. On Monday we agreed on a price and the salesman told me that I will need to make a holding deposit to ensure the vehicle will be held for me to buy on Saturday 14 November, he also said that he would let everyone in the dealership know about the holding deposit of the car and ensured us that someone else would not sell the car. Obviously, I wanted to see the vehicle before I buy it. I then told the salesman that I am not comfortable with the payment of the holding deposit as I do not know in what condition the vehicle is, and that if the vehicle is not in a great condition as he claimed, I will lose my deposit if not buying the vehicle. The salesman ensured me that this will not happen and that if I am not happy with the vehicle, the deposit will be paid back to me. He confirmed this on email. I arranged that I will be at the branch to come look at the vehicle and possibly buy it on Saturday 14 November. I drove from Rustenburg after work (18h00) on Friday afternoon to be able to buy the car early on Saturday. Saturday morning only, I was informed that the vehicle I paid a holding deposit for, was sold on Friday. Couldn’t they inform me immediately on Friday before I left for Randburg? I went to the dealership anyway as I was already in Randburg, to get back my holding deposit. The salesman stated to me that the head office will only be able to pay me the holding deposit back on Monday as payments only get done during the week. I insisted to speak to someone about my problem with the whole situation. I ended up speaking telephonically with the dealer principle. He informed me that the dealership does not take holding deposits on S**** CARS. You could just imagine my reaction. A great condition S**** CAR. The salesman did not disclose this to me at all, he had me convinced that the car was in excellent condition. Is a s**** car ever in excellent condition? Absolutely not!

I understand that payments can only occur during the week, but my frustrations came from the fact that I was **** to about the condition of the car, forced to pay a holding deposit on the salesman’s request, the vehicle sold anyway and was only brought to my attention after I arrived in Randburg. It is already 15h30 on Tuesday and I still haven't received my holding deposit.

I believe this was really bad service delivery and wouldn’t suggest that anyone go there to purchase a car. The lies, attitude and empty promises can clearly indicate that a person cannot trust Williams Hunt Randburg!
