Pathetic Service!!!

To whom it may concern

On the 21st November 2016 I took my Chev 1.4 utility to William Hunt Bellville for a service. I was kept in contact via sms with regards to the status, completion and was notified accordingly that I could come and collect.

When I wanted to complete the transaction by paying for the interval service with my American Express, but was told that it was not accepted and therefor had to pay cash before my vehicle was released.

Why I wasn’t told beforehand, the same as being kept in the loop with regards to the progress and status of the vehicle service, could I then also not have been notified of the various payment methos? I had to be accompanied to an ATM, like a ******** if may add - to withdraw the required amount to pay for the service. On top of the embarrassment and inconvenience of having to withdraw cash, my vehicle was not cleaned after the service and when I enquired about it, I was told it was due to water restrictions.

Firstly, I am very well aware of the water restrictions and support it completely and while I understand the need to use water sparingly. There are plenty of car washes around that even go as far as using recycled/filtered water to still provide a service while aiding the need to use water sparingly.

Secondly on upon visual inspection of the vehicle’s engine bay I noticed some exposed wiring which it did not have prior to the service and in general a very unprofessional job that was seemingly completed on the vehicle.

Thirdly, one of the sparkplug leads were also damaged by incompetence – dare I say it. Left there to barely make contact with the sparkplug itself. If that’s professional, I wonder what an amateur’s work would look like?

I’m all about giving credit where credit is due but in this case I cannot help but give a very poor rating and as far as professionalism goes probably the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had.

Reading some of the reviews of William Hunt all over South Africa I come to believe that this is not an isolated incident, but an almost general practise something handed down during induction of new staff or as part of the William Hunt culture. Pathetic!! To say the least!
