******** of a service
I am truly disappointed with Opel. When I bought my car, I got a 5 year / 75 000km service plan and warranty. My car was delivered to me in August 2019. I took it for its first annual service in August 2020. This should have been my 5th annual service as my KMs are well below 75 000, hence annual services as opposed to KM based services. Anyway, I made an appointment with Williams Hunt in Fourways to get my 5th and final service today. When I got there, I was told that my service plan and Warranty expired in April. I checked my contract before I went this morning. I checked my contract again when I got back. There is no mention of my warranty and service plan expiring in April. I have also not received any communication before today stating that my service plan and warranty have expired. The woman I booked the service with didn't notify me either. I feel that they are in breach of my contract with them. I am supposed to get my 5 services, and they have not communicated otherwise. Furthermore, in 2021 and 2022 already I indicated that I was experiencing trouble with my windscreen washer, and that the water was not coming out when I tried to use it, despite it being filled with water. There is a blockage or a break. Every single time I mentioned it, no one followed up or assisted. Last year, I brought it up yet again, and I was told that the part was still under warranty and it would get fixed. We made an appointment to fix the part on the 27th of September last year. Unfortunately, we then experienced multiple family tragedies as 2 of my nephews passed away within months of each other, and I had to support my family, meaning I could not make it for the appointment to get the part fixed. Had the problem with my windscreen washer been attended to in 2022 already, we would not be here. I am deeply disappointed, and feel that Opel should do what is right, according to what I was sold. My contract started in August, and I have been diligent with getting my annual service. I cannot afford to be penalised for their inability to communicate.
