No effort spared

I would like to applaud Andre @ Algoa Toyota for doing all he could to help us. On my way to a camping trip I experienced some issues with my car. My Land Cruiser 200 would not shift past 4th gear. Popped in to Algoa Toyota for advice but technicians don’t work Saturdays but they called the standby technician (Andre) out for me. He plugged in and ran some tests and there were no fault codes. He kept checking and eventually i was assured that gearbox wasn’t low on oil and the diagnosis was not clear. The problem was intermittent. A kind friend offered to lend me his Land Cruiser so that we could continue our trip but i was confident enough to push on in my Land Cruiser and deal with any further issues. Still need to do some fault finding. Andre really searched to diagnose an issue and phoned workshop manager for advice. He really did Algoa Toyota proud all advice and computer diagnostics were done at no charge. That’s building the Toyota family brand. It was refreshing to be genuinely treated as a friend in need and not as just another opportunity to make a few bucks. All the while all 12 in our party were told to help themselves at the coffee bar even though some were driving a Ford. Keep it up, it builds confidence in the fact that the large dealer network will try just as hard should i ever need them when far from home again.
