My experience buying a car with William Hunt Edenvale

My experience buying a car with William Hunt Edenvale

I would like to share my experience of dealing with William Hunt Edenvale, so as future car buyers are aware what to expect.

I bought a car in February 2019, service on all fronts was great for the first 72 hours, deal was done in three working days.

My contact person was Seelan Govender, Used Vehicle Sales Executive.

A special mention to the professional service received from Seraga Ramokolo in Opel Finance.

After the deal was done, on the 18th February, the spare key given to me by Seelan was broken, it does not fold and click, I was informed it was a simple procedure of replacing the casing which can be done at William Hunt Fourways……

I dropped the faulty spare key on the 22nd February, I left the spare key with Seelan and he promised he will get it sorted.

11th March, I informed Seelan of the error screen monitor which happens +/- 5 minutes into the drive, "Phone Book Memory is Full" both issues still not resolved 7 months later and 165 counting days.

Three emails remained unanswered, sporadic replies when they feel like, six phone calls, I paid a surprised visit on 17th July, lots of excuse given along with technical jargon about the keys or the screen, still no resolutions.

I love Opel as a brand, as my previous car was also an Opel

I am now extremely disappointed in the follow-up interaction, not only in the way my calls, message an emails have been ignored but the total unwillingness besides false pretense in fixing the situation.

I have been patient and tolerant.

I have lost trust in Opel as a brand, I have lost trust in William Hunt Edenvale for that matter as it is a reflection of how both Opel and William Hunt Edenvale cares about their customer in South Africa.

My advice to future car buyers at William Hunt Edenvale, be careful and get ready to have your patience tested to it’s max, all they want is the sales.
