Me

I bought a 2006 Mercedes benz at Reeds N1 city in Cape Town as Robert Stassen as my salesperson on the 15th of August 2018.

As a reputable dealer it is their responsibility to ensure that a vehicle that is being sold has been checked out properly. It has not been a full year of ownership and I have noticed check engine light came on, extreme misfire upon idle, lack of power, extremely bad fuel economy. I took the vehicle to a well known Mercedes Mechanic within my area and to his findings he had noticed that the intake manifold of the vehicle was completely broken due to bits and pieces that had been siliconed together. Instead of Reeds replacing the manifold they did a "quick fix" they even forgot to put on a second gasket on the passanger side of the intake manifold. This is very disappointing and I will never purchase a vehicle through Reeds N1. The cost of a new intake manifold will set me back an entire 16 grand and that's excluding cost to fix the mass airflow sensor which eventually got faulty due to the broken intake manifold. Reeds N1 should cover at least half the cost in this Regard.
