Ford sold me a lie

I am only writing this negative review because I feel that Ford failed. I bought a new Ford Fiesta in 2013. I dont have male figures in my life to ask about car problems hence I opted for a new car. I have been doing my best to take good care of my care. On the 9th of September 2016, I took my car for service (80000km). I asked the dealership( Eagle Ford) to check my braking pads and wiper blades and these were replaced. The dealership did not advise me of any other problems with the car. A mere 2 weeks after servicing my car, it broke down. I was forced to park my car at my friend's car as it was making a loud noise from the engine. I was rudely told that my roadside assist expired in March. I got my insurance to arrange for my car to be towed from my friend's house to the nearest ford dealership (Action Ford, Constantia Kloof). As my car was towed on a satuday, I was told i will only know what's wrong with my car on Monday. I anxiously waited for a call from the dealership on Monday but I did not hear from them. I had to call the dealership only to be told that my car is still not diagnosed. I only received a call from the service advisor after 13h00 who advised that the problem is the water pump and that it would be fixed. during this time, i was not receiving any updates from the service advisor not unless I phoned her. She displaced an 'I dont care' attitude. She did not care about my frustration of not having a car which affected my personal and work life.

I eventually got my car back on Wednesday, 28 September 2016 and was told everything is sorted. I decided not to say anything about the (bad) service I had received. I was just relieved to have my car back.

To my disappoinment, my relieve was very short lived because I was stuck again on the 8th of October. I was stuck in the middle of the road. My car would not start. I called Ford again and was again told me that they cannot tow my car. I tried to explain to the consultant that I just got my car back from Ford and that Ford must fetch the car and fix it. I was given the standard response that my roadside assist expired in March. I was disappointed in circumstances where I trusted Ford to fix my car the first time after I paid for the towing. They failed to come to my rescue notwithstanding the fact that they messed up. I asked to speak to someone Senior at Ford but the call centre supervision hung up the phone in my ear.

I again arranged for my car to be towed to Action Ford at my expense. I again had to wait until Monday to get a diagnosis. I also did not hear from the dealership until i called them. I was told its a problem with the battery and same needed to be charged overnight. If its not full by morning, i will have to pay for a new battery. Again, i waited for an update the next day. No update was forthcoming. I again had to call the service provider. He then told me that the battery is fine but there is a noise coming from the engine and they did not know what's causing it.

I was eventually told that it was found that cambelt tensioner went loose and vehicle lost timing. In most cases where vehicle loses timing it causes valves to bent. The cylinder head had to be removed and sent to engineering for confirmation. This is a warranty process and it could take a minimum of 2 weeks before vehicle is completed.

so here i am with no car and not even sure when I will get my car back. Ford failed me. I am going to take this matter further. I am suffering immensely because of Ford's incompetence.
