Do Not Trust Reeds
I am a GM customer and believe in the GM brand and by extent Reeds. this is why I am extremely aggrieved with the actions of one of your sales team, namely Zainodien Teegier
As communicated to me by Zainodien I believe you are aware of my intent to purchase one of your used vehicles.
I responded to the attached gumtree adverti*****t, indicating my interest in purchasing the vehicle advertised a 2017 Chevrolet Captiva 2.4 LT
I then discussed the sale with Zainodien whom introduced himself as Dien as indicated in his e-mail address.
The issue I have is that in discussion and as advertised the vehicle I was interested in buying, I was made to believe the purchase would include the balance of a service plan up to 120 000km or 5 years.
I only found out the above when the lady dealing with the financing a Riyana Robertson (received excellent service from her with the financing of the purchase) offered me an extension on the service plan which caught me off guard.
I understand that the ultimate goal is to make a profit and the salesman salary is commission based but at what stage has the relationship between the Dealer and the Customer been removed from the equation? When has honesty and integrity been removed from the customer and dealer relationship.
I asked that Riyana get Dien to call me, as I needed to clarify with him about the service plan and we had not as yet finalized a price. And at this point after he had spoken with Riyana all of sudden he did not know anything of a 5 year service plan.
I find this to be an insult to my intelligence and could luckily find the add which had been deleted in my browser history (Attached) and can therefore prove that I did not imagine being told about the 5 year service plan.
When I called your customer advisor told me that your sales team would not con a customer, but maybe our definition of a con is different. The Cambridge dictionary defines a con as “ to make someone believe something false, usually so that that person will give you their money or possessions
My current vehicle which I had for 11 years was a 3 year old G2 certified Opel, has served me and my family well but I have lost confidence in your organisation and its customer orientation, and cannot say that I now trust the G2 certificate which is what I will communicate to my family, friends and colleagues.
