Disgusting service and NO Consumer protection

I bought a brand new car from Rand Ford. It has overheated twice in the past 6 months and I had not even driven 45 500km mileage. The first time it overheated the water container had cracked and I was given the explanation that the yr make and model of my Ford Kuga were all having issues with a water container that was not able to withstand the South African temperatures ?? ( for a car made in India or Indonesia?) It was given its second service 40 000 km at the same time. Then I was assured it won't happen again as the container was replaced. 4500km/6 months later it overheated AGAIN... This time I was waiting for a tow truck with steam and smoke pouring out the engine with my toddler 10 days after my mom passed away .On collection of the vehicle I was told the bypass valve blew which hardly ever happens even in much older vehicles. No further apology or explanation was given and I was dismissed being told to trade the car in and buy a new one. The new car quoted to me from Rand Ford where I bought my Kuga brand new gave me quotes ranging from R20 to R30 000 MORE EXPENSIVE than when I went to ask a quote at another dealership.

I contacted Ford Customer Care and ny first call it turned out was recorded but no complaint logged on the system. Then I spoke to another customer care person who asked me to write my complaints on email after being treated very badly on the phone by Kobus the Dealer Principal at Rand Ford who never apologised about my experience, was rude and arrogant and made no attempt to even match the quote received from Eagle Ford or offer any compensation of any form . I then escalated the complaint to Regional Management who asked my car be taken in for an engine assessment which I did. On the report it stated " customer complaining of the temperature guage going up and down".... and that the water container and temperature guage system are all in order. There was NO reference to the bypass valve or any other part of the engine. AND I DID NOT TAKE MY CAR IN FOR A FAULTY TEMPERATURE GUAGE- I took it in because in less than 46000 km ot had overheated twice, undriveable with steam and smoke pouring out of the engine. To date all I have been offered is that my warranty will be honored. That is the minimal and should be a given on ANY vehicle bought. So I am waiting for compensation discount on a new vehicle or I will be forced to take further legal public action.
