Carnival Toyota had no regard nor consideration for the financial situation they placed me in and have their own interest to their advantage at bay.
I just want to raise my utter disappointment in the entire ordeal and the unfitting service experienced throughout the past 4 months.
It has been the worst experience in buying and owning a vehicle in all my years. I would have expected this to be a better decision in buying from a reputable dealer and that the service anticipated would be of superior quality, however, not the case.
This vehicle was within 6 months period when it broke down at no fault of our own, we were not assisted for 4 months as we had to cover the costs and the dealership claimed from our warranty, whereby this should not have been a warranty claim, rather a dealer obligation to repair, my warranty has now been exhausted at no fault of my own, also; due to my ignorance I am unable to prove the statement made by the sales lady that these specific vehicle brands have automatically extended their warranties, including the model I purchased. It was also confirmed that the component failure was not a original component and the vehicle most probably had a fault at purchase stage. The kilometers on the dealer delivery service; Contract and warranty all differ which indicates some red flags within the dealer management system. “At the end of it all” I still had to pay a substantial amount of money to have my vehicle returned to me, which was by evidence possibly faulty prior to me purchasing. The dealer arrangement eventually was that I must cover 50% of the cost and they will cover 50% of the cost, this was also not the case and I had to cover majority of the outstanding costs.
I had to spent money during the past 4 months to rent a vehicle in order to continue with our daily commute. This has put me in a negative financial situation and should have rather been an exciting experience. Legally I understand that it`s not the responsibility of the dealership to assist with commute, however 4 months expense for my account on a rental is also not reasonable
I have no good comment or review to give and will truthfully define my experience. This experience will certainly effect the relationship that could have been further built were my experience and myself treated differently, this to me shows the client relationship that carnival Toyota provides, in my opinion; the performance of a supplier is measured by the client service provided should there be challenging circumstances and not when all is in order and smooth dealing. This surely demonstrates the character of the dealership
Unfortunately this deal and the entire 4 months of annoyance was not in the favor of the consumer and therefore have lost a client. I hope that the vehicle will now provide me with a safe and reliable experience going forward.
