Brake Pads
On 23/02/2016 I called Nissan IC Auto and provided them with a part number obtained from Nissan Springs where I purchased my vehicle (2014 Nissan X-trail). According to IC Auto the part number is linked to my VIN number. IC re-ordered part for me and when I went on 24/02/2016 to collect I was told it was incorrect as it is for the old Nissan X-trail. According to IC Auto, they would re-order the correct part again linked to my VIN number, however, only to find that it was still the incorrect part. I called IC to complain about the inconvenience caused, i.e, time spent, the fuel to travel back and forth, and I requested them to compensate me with fitment of the correct part. I spoke Boet van Heerden regarding this matter and he referred me to Nissan SA Customer Center because he said he needed authorization from Nissan SA for fitment as he was not prepared to to incur the cost.On the 26/02/2016, I spoke to Karika - Nissan SA, and she told me that Nissan is not responsible for incorrect part numbers because part numbers change from time to time. My dissatisfaction is how can Nissan link my VIN number to an incorrect part number and refuse to take responsibility. This is poor service
