We have bought a 2.5 ford ranger dubblecab from action ford recently. A cattle rail was mounted to the bakkie, by an Engineering Company, only to find that in a short time the body cracked both sides of bakkie. We contacted ford whereby they said that is not poor workmanship, there is a specific bracket that should be used when mounting a cattle rail. NO ONE ever told us that at all. After investigation to find that there is some other ford rangers also with the same problem. We also lodged a complaint with Ford, and they say the warranty stipulate no other person should mount a cattle trail that is not acredited by ford to do so. I phoned another ford agencie this morning and speak to the parts department they confirmed that their workshop is fitting the cattle rails, and i asked the specs of the item, he could not tell me as he said he only have a picture in a book of the item. There is no specs like cm / inches .He said i can also go to LA SPORT for a quote??We had the same cattle rail on a previous mazda drifter 2.5 NO CRACKS ON THE BODY AT ALL. FORD SHOULD ADMIT A PROBLEM. They did not even to bother and send a qualified person to investigate. We must fix
